Suite from Inside the Actors Studio
Angelo's new Suite from Inside the Actors Studio, a nine-minute piece for orchestra based on his original music for the show and developed into a concert work, is now available as a digital download on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, CD Baby, etc.

CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN
A CONCERT TO BENEFIT THE DAVID LYNCH FOUNDATION
Angelo kicked off the show at The David Lynch Foundation’s “Change Begins Within” benefit concert on Saturday night at Radio City Music Hall.
Seated at the piano, and beginning in darkness, Angelo played what the New York Times called his "ominous and Romantic theme" from “Twin Peaks" to introduce his dear friend David Lynch, who co-hosted the event with Laura Dern.
The evening was headlined by Paul McCartney, who was joined by Ringo Starr, and included performances from Sheryl Crow, Donovan, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Moby, Paul Horn, Bettye Lavette, Jim James, Jerry Seinfeld, Howard Stern, and others. The auditorium was packed to capacity and even the wings were flush with concert talent who had vacated the backstage area to watch the event from the house.

Angelo has completed composing music for a new film, from the writers of Sexy Beast, starring Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Tom Wilkinson and Ian McShane. It's directed by a brilliant young talent, Malcolm Venville, and produced by Steve Golin and Richard Brown. This film is scheduled to be released in June 2009.

New CD from Angelo Badalamenti
In February, The World Soundtrack Academy and Angelo teamed up to produce a CD of Angelo's music to benefit UNICEF. The music, which was recorded by Dirk Brossé and the Brussels Philharmonic, consists of several new full orchestral suites. We'll keep you posted on the release date for this exciting new disc.

The Edge of Love
The Kiera Knightley/Sienna Miller film, The Edge of Love, with music composed by Angelo, is now being shown in the United States. Look for this release in theaters on Friday, March 20th, 2009.

World Soundtrack Awards, 2008Angelo was honoured with the prestigous Lifetime Achievement Award presented to him by Marianne Faithfull at the Flanders International Film Festival World Soundtrack Awards in Ghent,Belgium.
Photo by Kris Dewitte Following the awards ceremony Angelo performed an hour-long retrospective of his work with Dirk Brossé and the Brussels Philharmonic. His special guest vocalists were Beth Rowley and Siouxsie Sioux, singing music from Blue Velvet, The City of Lost Children, and The Edge of Love. The ceremony and the concert were attended by world famous composers such as James Newton Howard, Dario Marianelli, David Arnold, Clint Mansell, and Trevor Jones.
