The Wicker Man has been spotted!!! June 1, 2006 Director Neil LaBute and editor Joel Plotch came by Angelo's north Jersey studio to spot The Wicker Man. No, they weren't out in the woods with binoculars—spotting is where the Director and Composer discuss the proper placement and mood of music in the film. Angelo is currently writing for the recording sessions at the end of June. Check out the trailer for The Wicker Man. In theatres September 1. |

Come Meet Angelo in NYC at Evilenko DVD Release Events! Angelo will be present at two events surrounding the February 7 DVD release of director David Grieco's Evilenko. Grieco and actor Malcolm McDowell, who stars as the title character, will be present at both events as well. The first event, on Monday, February 6, is a FANGORIA MAGAZINE sponsored screening of Evilenko followed by a Q&A with Grieco, McDowell and Badalamenti. The Chilton Memorial Hospital Foundation presents Angelo Badalamenti:An Unforgettable EveningDecember 3, 2005 On the evening of December third supporters of the Chilton Memorial Hospital Foundation delighted in an evening of music and anecdotes care of Mr. Badalamenti. The charity event featured Angelo performing some his best-loved works at the piano and sharing stories about each piece of music. Foundation supporters also took home an impressive press kit highlighting Angelo's most notable credentials and a dual CD collection of his work in film scoring and as a recording artist. Established in 1991, the Chilton Memorial Hospital Foundation is the fund raising organization for Chilton Memorial Hospital. The Foundation's philanthropic efforts raise funds for programs, construction and renovation of facilities, and purchasing of state-of-the-art technology. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a volunteer Board of Trustees that sets policy, oversees funds, and directs activities of the Foundation. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent currently allowed by law. |

Angelo Badalamenti wins Soundtrack Composer of the Year Award
November 1, 2005 Angelo Badalamenti, for his score for Un Long Dimanche de Fianciailles is the winner of the Soundtrack Composer of the Year Award. These prestigious film music prizes were distributed this Saturday October 15, during the Flanders International Film Festival Ghent. The music of War of the Worlds by John Williams received the Prize for Best Original Soundtrack of the Year and "Old Habbits Die Hard" by Dave Stewart & Mick Jagger from Alfie was recognized for the Award for 'Best Original Song Written for Film'. The festive ceremony was followed by a film music concert where the Oscar winner Rachel Portman (Emma) was on stage with Mike Stoller, part of the legendary duo Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who made history as songwriter and composer for Elvis Presley. |
